A little over 2 years ago I was standing by the front door of my place of employment. A woman walks up to me and says, with a very Italian accent, “May I kiss you?” My first thought was, HELL NO!! And then I looked into her eyes and saw tears. Something about her touched my heart. She spoke again, “You remind me of someone back home in Italy.” After that she came closer to me with her arms open. I felt weird, but just couldn’t say no to her. We hugged and she kissed me while she had tears running down her face.
After the embrace she said thank you, and left.
About a month later I was walking across the front end when I heard a familiar Italian accent. I turned and there she was, the same lady that hugged me. This time she was all smiles as she ran and jumped into my arms. “I love you, god bless you” she exclaimed. This scenario would play out the same way several times over the next few months and then it stopped.
I went about 2 months without seeing her, and then all of a sudden at about 7:30am she appeared in front of me. She was so excited and could barely control herself as she reached for me from the other side of the counter. She damn near dislocated my shoulder trying to pull me closer to her.
I walked around the counter to her and she lunged into my arms squeezing and kissing and crying. A few minutes passed and she finally let go. I retreated back behind the counter. As I stood in front of her she began to plunge into her pocketbook tearing it apart like the cure for cancer was hidden inside. She pulls something out and grabs my hand. I can feel her placing something in my hand but she closes her hands over mine before I can see what it was. She grasped my hand tightly, closed her eyes and began to pray.
She released my hand. I open it to find a rock. She begins to tell me in her sweet Italian accent, “This is a special rock. In Italy if a wave washes a rock up onto the shore and you catch it, its good luck for life.” She began to cry again. She grabbed my hand, kissed it and left.
I don’t really believe in lucky objects but I would be lying if I said I didn’t carry that rock with me everywhere I go. Its been about 8 months since she gave it to me and there hasn’t been one day it wasn’t with me. For anyone that thinks this story is crazy, I completely agree. But it doesn’t make it any less truthful…
and here i thought you were happy to see me yesterday. turns out it was just your lucky rock
If it makes you feel any better my nipples got hard for you!
Cool story. 😉
I think it’s pretty cool that you give this woman such an emotional reaction whenever she sees you! I’d carry the rock around, too! Very cool story! Maybe you’ll be in her will someday! LOL!!
Beautiful story and magik comes in many guises into our lives. My guess is that you look like someone she loved very deeply who is now gone. Hugs, Barbara
I agree that was my feeling too, story was very sweet and I would have kep that stone, just for the memory of remembering how we touch another person
Have a good weekend.
I love this story and I would carry that rock with me everywhere… I wonder if you look like someone she lost through death? Sweet story thanks for sharing. I am glad you carry that rock that is so kind.
What a nice story! You brought her some happiness; she gave you something meaningful to her. That’s great!
Beautiful story! Something similar happened to one of my former clients, a young ambitious man. He was in a grocery store and the woman ahead of him didn’t have enough money to pay for her groceries. He said he felt so bad for her because she was putting stuff back. So he paid for her. She was so happy. Then she said to him, “You are going to be someone special in your life.” Seemed her blessing was true because he went on to do so many amazing things: working for the government, being Russell Simmon’s assistant and finally writing his first book (which I helped him ghost write). It seems sometimes earth angels appear out of nowhere!
What an amazing story. Those are the best – the ones that come out of nowhere – make no sense be leave you feeling better than before.
