Luck Be A Lady

A little over 2 years ago I was standing by the front door of my place of employment.  A woman walks up to me and says, with a very Italian accent, “May I kiss you?”  My first thought was, HELL NO!!  And then I looked into her eyes and saw tears.  Something about her touched my heart.

I was really hoping my first movie review would be of a great movie, but I was sadly mistaken.  I saw The Apparition today with my best friend.  We both love horror movies so seeing this movie seemed like the perfect choice.  Unfortunately, 10 minutes into the movie I found myself making fun of it more than enjoying it.

Talkin’ Shit To Save Shane

Growing up I didn’t have many close friends.  I had people that I hung out with and called friends, but I never felt close to anyone the way I feel with the friends I have right now.  They all would do anything for me and in return I would do anything for them.  When I lost my brother I really didn’t tell many people about it and yet so many people that really didn’t know Scott showed up to support me.  If I didn’t know what a true friend was I definitely knew after that day.

People I Hate Today

Today was an interesting day to say the least.  It seems all of South Florida thinks that this storm will be the end of the world.   Maybe it was my lack of sleep or maybe I was just tired of people acting like assholes, but today everyone seemed to piss me off.  Here are some examples of said people.

Just Around The Corner

I am coming up on my 2 month (9-8) anniversary for Talkin’ Shit.  It has been a great 2 months and I must say that I have had a lot of fun sharing my rantings with you all.   I have written 54 posts and it amazes me how many views I get on all of them.

Let The Overreactions Begin

With the recent formation of Tropical Storm Isaac in the Atlantic people here in South Florida have already started dashing towards their local stores to buy mass quantities of water and canned foods.  Now I am all for preparing for a storm but when said storm is only expected to be a possible Cat-1 when it may or may not hit Florida I see little reason to panic.  Yet here we are days before its in our area and people are scurrying around like scared mice.

Douche of the Week 8-20

Considering my last two posts, this week’s Douche seems to fit right it.  I work in a business that among other things offers  carpet cleaner rentals.  We do not own the machines themselves, but rather act as a third party for another company which means we have to adhere to any rules and regulations said company puts in place.
